Inspection Mode User Manual - Findings
In this article, we will walk through adding findings to a deviation.
After you have pressed the "Add finding" button, you will enter the "Add finding "form – the landing form is already associated with the checkpoint you want to report the current finding.
The first step in register finding is to select risk level by opening the option selector "Select risk level".
The difference between a Button and an Option selector is that where the button only gives you one action, an Option selector normally gives you several options to choose from - As illustrated in the picture.
Please notice:
1 eDrops operates with 3 risk levels as a Traffic light model
(High-, Medium-, and Low Risk)
Using the "Risk Calculator"
Notice that the Risk Calculator lets you calculate in both "Metric" and "Imperial" units (1).
( More information regarding the "eDrops Risk Calculator")
Finally, you enter the item's approximately Weight and Height value (2).
Please notice, as a part of the input session, the calculator also asks if there's a functional safety securing on the item (3).
This is a mandatory assessment that you make before calculating the risk.
After you have entered both Weight and Height
(in our example, we set the weight to 4 Kg. and Height to 8 m) (1) and you, from your assessment, set "Yes" or "No" value on the "Is there a functional safety securing "(2), you click on the "Calculate risk" button (3).
This action will enable the calculation and risk assessment and will show the risk level in this area (4).
As you will see, the Risk Calculator assessed the values:
4 Kg. falling from 8 m, without functional safety securing, to have a potential
"Major injury/death" consequence (1).
To add this calculation to your inspection findings, you press the
"Use calculated risk" button (2).
In case you need to recalculate your assessment by changing values (1) or changing the "Is there a functional safety securing on the item?" (2), the Risk Calculator will ask you to press the button "Recalculate" (3) to get a new result.
Using the manual "Risk Level Assessment."
If you don't use the "Risk Calculator", you can assess the risk manually by selecting the risk level (1).
Choose one level of risk from the list.
Selecting "Risk Level"
In case the risk level is High (1), you will also be prompted to select if the object poses an immediate danger (2)
Findings - Selecting "Risk Level "

you will see a warning message telling you to correct the finding and/or notify the closest superior (2).
