Information Document - Risk Level Guidance
About eDrops Risk Levels Guidance
eDrops uses a green, yellow, and red traffic light model instead of selecting "Pass" or "Fail", which is usually in the traditional DROPS registers. The traffic light model allows the users to categorize the risk levels of the findings, which in the next turn, eases the process of planning and prioritizing what to close first and last.
This traffic light model is an assessment method we at Axess have developed in collaboration with our customers and partners that provide an improved and more precise tool for inspectors and managers.
The traffic light values are:
-
High Risk: shall be used for findings that require remedial action as soon as possible due to the Risk of becoming a dropped object. High-risk findings can be identified by; the incident can occur any time soon, and the energy involved can lead to injury and death.
Immediate Danger is an extra marking for 'High risk' findings, saying that remedial action can not wait. The finding must be handled with no delay.
-
Medium: can be used for findings that require remedial action to comply with DROPS best practice but have no risk of becoming a dropped object before the next planned inspection.
-
Low: can be used when no remedial action is needed at the time of inspection, but the inspector wants to inform about a developing condition that, in the long term, can become a dropped object hazard.
