- The guidelines in the "Inspector tips" section
By clicking on the "Start inspection" button you entered the inspection jobs landing page.
On the Landing page, you start the inspection from the
inspection-job list.
You pass or fail the inspection points by choosing the "Yes" or "No" radio buttons related to the inspection points.
You check out the job scope by using the "See job scope" button, where you find all information on how to conduct the inspection.
If there are open findings in the Job Scope, they will be listed as "Currently open findings.."
In this example, we inspect all "Block" in the area "8. 3. Sack Store“.
If we find all inspection points “OK” and approved, we will check out all radio buttons as "Yes" and move on to the next area.
However, if something doesn't pass the inspection, we will check out the radio button "No" and add a finding on that specific inspection point.
In this example, we notice that checkpoints “Secondary retention is secured and in good condition”, and “If fitted, that washer fluid container is in good condition and secure” is disapproved/have failed and is checked out as “No” – as a consequence the user is forced to use the “Add finding” procedure.
Please notice:
Once you entered the inspection job landing page, you start the inspection from the inspection-job list.
In this example, we will inspect a “Camera" in the area "8.3. Sack Store“.

Inspection - Job scope list
We should now have a quick view of the eDrops Job scope function.
You enter the Job scope function by clicking the “Job scope" button on the DROPS inspectors landing page.
In this example, we see the different item types to inspect.
The list doesn't provide information about the severity of the findings. But holds a track and informs us about the area's inspection finding status
As you see, in this inspection job scope, several areas have open findings.
Inspection – Best practice (i)
When you select the (i) button, you get instructions, in text and pictures, on how the object should be fastened and secured.
Please Note:
Best practice information does not apply to all inspection jobs
All checkpoints are Approved – No deviations
If you find all inspection check-points approved, you can set all checkpoints as “OK” (value = “Yes”):
Please notice:
By setting all checkpoints to "Yes“:
1 All Items checkpoints are set to approve (has value "Yes").
2 To proceed to the next item to inspect, you use the "Next item" button.
3 The "Add finding" button is greyed-out since all findings are set as approved.
Not all checkpoints are Approved – we have deviations
If you find deviations and you disapprove of a checkpoint(s), you will set the deviating checkpoint(s) as disapproved (value = “No”)
Please notice:
1 Item(s) checkpoint(s) are set to disapprove (has value "No").
2 The "Next item" button is greyed-out since there is/are disapproved item(s) in the checklist.
3 The "Add finding" button is enabled, and lets you register your findings.
