Jobs Page – Creating New Inspection Job
In this section, we will create a new job to the job’s scope.
From the Jobs list page (1), click on the button “+ New job”(2)
By clicking the “+ New Job” button, eDROPS will open a new window with an empty Job form to fill in the new Job information.
Please notice the Mandatory job information:
1. Name job.
2. Inspection frequency.
3. Department.
When the Job information is filled in, we have options too, “Save, or Save and continue(4).

Save = Save all the information and will return to the job list.

Save and continue = Save the information and move to the next page, Planning.
Jobs Page – Creating New Inspection Job – Add Areas in a Job
The Job “Moonpool Area nbr 2”(1) is now created and is associated with the Department “Subsea”(2).
The next step is to use “Save and continue”(3)
After the new Job, “Moonpool Area nbr 2”(1), Is created, an Area must be associated with the new Job. (It is also possible to associate Areas with already created Jobs – this is described in the section “Working with existing jobs – Planning Jobs”)
By using the “Save and continue” option on the “Creating new Job” form, we will be forwarded to the “Area in Job” form.
To add “AREAS IN JOB”, Select an “Area” from the Selection box(2). The select box will list all Areas associated with the eDROPS configuration on this installation.
Remember to Save(3) after adding Areas to a Job.

Please notice:
1. It is possible to add more than one area to each job – a new select box will be available after selecting an Area.
2. The “Area Select box” has a good search functionality – in this example, we have written “moo” and the search returns “2.1 Moonpool Area”
3. It is also possible to create new areas by using the “Create new area” button
To create a new area, click on the “Create new area”(1) button.
This opens the “Add new Areas”(2), form, click on the “More”(3) option button at the right side of the Add new area form, and select the “Edit main areas”(4) option.
The “Edit main areas” option will unlock the “Add new area” lists “Edit”(5) functionality.
Scroll down to the end of the list, where we find the “+ Add main area”(6) button.
Click on the “+ Add main area” button to open the new area text boxes
After clicking on the “+ Add main area” button the new area text boxes is enabled, and we can fill in the new “Area name”(1), the Areas “Index*”(2), and “Subarea type”(3).
After filling in this information we have to remember to “Save”(4) the information we added.
Click the “Clear”(5) button to cancel creating new Areas
* REMARK:
The “Index” is a mandatory and unique value, that identifies the Area.

Jobs Page – Editing An Area
Click the More button (1), to start editing an Area.
This enables each area with an Edit button (2).
By clicking on the Edit button, the Area name will be editable (3).
And we can update the name of the area.
When finished editing an Area, Click on the Save button (4).
Jobs Page – Editing A Subarea
To edit a Subarea, open the list of subareas of a specific Area by clicking on the small arrow (1).
This displays the list of subareas (2), in each subarea, there is an Edit button (3).
Click on the Edit button at the subarea name, to display all the information about this subarea (4).
It is possible to edit all Subareas Information in the Subareas information section.
Click the Save button (1) to apply the changes, after editing the Subarea(2).
The updated info will be applied in the list (3) and a confirmation message will be displayed as well (4).
Jobs Page – Adding A New Area
Click on the More button and select Edit main areas (1), to add a new Area. To enable the “+ Add main area” button (2).
After clicking on Add new main area button, an input box (1) where you can type the name of the new Area, Index and Subarea type will be enabled.
Enter the required information, click the Save button (2) to add the new area.
The new are will be at the bottom of the list (3) and the confirmation will be displayed (4).
Jobs Page – Adding A New Subarea
1. Click on the arrow to expand the subareas list.
2. Then click on Add subarea.
Once you clicked on Add subareas, it will open a small form with some options:
1. Enter a subarea name, index, select subarea type and optional you can input a description of the new subarea.
2. You can add diagrams of the new subarea, side view.
3. As well as top view
4. When you finished input the information and loading the diagrams, click on Save button.
1. The new subarea will be displayed
2. And a confirmation message will display
