Working with existing jobs – Planning Jobs
In this article, we will walk through one of the core functionalities of eDrops, and eDrops in Management mode.
Maintain, update and manage the installations’ DROPS Inspection jobs and the “Planning” Job tool.
We enter the Planning tool by clicking on the “Planning” menu choice in the Job Card(1) – which opens the “Planning “ tool page(2).
REMARK:
It is not possible to edit Finished jobs – we can only edit Upcoming Jobs!

Please notice:
1. Filter button
Opens a search filter where we can search in the inspection job list.
2. AEREAS IN JOB
Where we add or remove areas that are a part of this specific Job (Upper derrick 180) – We can add additional areas to one job(2a)
3. List of all jobs associated with “1.5 Upper Derrick”
4. Hide and show/expand or collapse lists button

AREAS IN JOB
1. Add additional Areas to an existing job by using the “Select” Job box.
2. In this example the added Area are:
“1.2 Underside Crown to Monkey Board Fingers”.
3. We can add several new areas to the job, that all will be related to the job (in this example “Upper derrick 180”).

Each area in the Job has associated Item types which should be inspected as a part of the Inspection Job.
We can add several predefined item types to the job – each item type contains a set of Checklists. It is also possible to add a customized checklist to the Inspection.
Please notice:
There are added two Areas to the Job “Upper Derrick 180”.
1.2 UNDERSIDE CROWN TO MONKEY BOARD FINGERS and 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
Use the View all/View items button to display the complete item type list (1).
eDROPS Job card – Planning has no autosave function, press “Save” to enable changes! (2).
We have expanded the Item types list associated with Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
The expansion gives access to all Item types associated with the Area.
Please notice:
The Item type list display:
1. Name of Item type.
2. Recommended inspection intervals.
3. Item type Description.
4. Number of additional items to inspect associated with a specific item.
5. Expand the Item type option details.
6. Save button.
AREAS IN JOB
Add additional Item types to Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
We can add additional Item types to the current Area after expanding the Item type list.
Add Item types to an Area by checking out the Item types associated checkbox(1).
Check out/off the associated checkboxes to remove Item types from the Area(2)
Press/Use the Save button(3) after adding or removing Items types, to save the changes done.
After the save operation the eDrops will reply with an “Item created”(4) message at the bottom of your screen
Add additional Item types to the Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
Add additional Items to the Item types in the list, by expanding the Item type options and clicking on the Option expand button(1).
For the example “A-frame at gin pole framework” (2), we already have added an item “Crane Board”(3).
To add additional items, we use the “Add item” button(4) that will open the
“Create new item” form.
Add additional Item types to Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
Important:
After adding additional items, remember to save the added item(s) by clicking the “Save”(1) button
The action “Save” will create and add the item to the Job
Add additional Item types to Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK.
Important:
After adding additional items, add the “new item (Active heave comp list)”(1), to the Job scope.
To add an Item to the Job scope:
Tick off the checkbox associated with the new item(2), and click the “Save”(3) button.
After the save operation the eDrops will reply with an
“Area edited for job”(4) and a “Job updated”(5) message at the bottom of the screen
Additional Items at Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK Item types.
Add new additional Items to an Item type in the “Create new item” form.
In the Create new item form, add Item name(1), if present item Tag(2), Items Serial number(3), and the items Location info(4).
Please notice:

The new item is associated with the Area: 1.5 Upper Derrick and Item type: A-Frame and gin pole framework(5)

It is possible to add checklists to the new item by using the Checklist button in the Create new item form(6)
Additional Items at Area: 1.5 UPPER DERRICK Item types Checklists.
Using the Checklist button, opens the Checklist form, in the Checklist form we can choose to use the “Standard checklist (default)”(1), or we can create a new checklist by using the “Create new”(2) option.
Use the “View”(1a) to open and review the Standard checklist, we can also duplicate the standard checklist by opening the options menu marked with three/3 vertical dots(1b)
Reviewing the Standard checklist (default).
Click on “View”(1) To review the Standard checklist(2)
Please notice:

Top information that identifies which Item this specific checklist is associated with(3)

Instruction text that asks us to duplicate the standard checklist before we edit the checklist(4)

The list of checkpoints(5)
To Duplicate the Standard checklist (default).
Click on the “three vertical dots”(1) To open the options menu, in the options menu we click on the option “Duplicate”(2)
By using the option “Duplicate” the “Standard checklist (default)” will be duplicated (copied)(3). The duplicate/copy is open for editing, and we can edit the checklist to our needs by using the “View and edit”(4) options associated with the new checklist.
Remark:

It is possible to remove/delete checklists using the
“Three vertical dots”(1)
- We can duplicate/copy the checklists as many times we find it suited
The next step is to edit the new checklist we created by duplicating the
Standard checklist (default). To do this we click on the
“View and edit”(4) option
1.5 UPPER DERRICK Item types New Checklist from duplicating the Default Checklist.
Access the “View and edit checklist” form by clicking on the “View and edit” option in the “Create new item”,
Here we enter the new checklist name(1), and we can add pictures showing the Item type(2) – remark: the max limit of pictures we can add is 3.
Under Checkpoints(3), it is possible to edit the current checkpoints by “mouse left click” them and editing the textbox containing the checklist text(4).
To delete a checkpoint, use the “Delete”(5) option on the right side of the checklist textbox.
Add checkpoints by using the “Add checkpoint”(6), this action will open an empty checkbox textbox.
Remember to save your changes by using the “Save and close”(7) button.
eDROPS has no Auto save functions!
