Release Notes eDROPS (10.8.2021)
October 10th 2021 there will be a release of some new features in eDROPS connected to the scheduled downtime. After downtime when eDROPS is running as normal again, there will be some visble changes in the application.
Feature change 1 -Navigation bar
The navigation bar in the top of the page will have a new look. The functions will be the same, but some controls have moved within the navigation bar.
The most noticable change for the user will be the switch between the former "Tablet" and "Desktop" modes. The former "Tablet" mode is now called "Inspection mode" (2) and the former "Desktop" is now called "Management mode" (3). To reach those controls (1) you must click on the "Bridge" control in the top left corner. There you will see the navigation bar below appear. Select inspection mode by selecting radio button (2) or management mode by selecting (3).
If you have access to work in the other bridge applications you can also navigate directly to another application or back to the portal where you can search for other assets.
Feature change 2 - PM view
The second feature change the inspector will notice is the new option of switching between "Area view" and "PM view" after the user has selected a department. The intention of this option is to visualize if the inspection job contain one or several areas to inspect. In the "old" area view it was not possible to see if the job contained several areas that had to be inspected to finish the whole job, the PM view solves this problem by showing all areas the job contain and the inspection status for each area and the total of the job.
1 - Select area view
2 - Select PM view
3 - Display of the PM you have selected
4 - Display of the total progress of the job in all areas
5 - Display of the different areas included in the PM
6 - Display of the progress for the specific area
When one of the several areas in the job is inspected, the user is directed back to the view above for easy selection of the next area to inspect in order to be able to finish the complete inspection job.
